Maintaining the Anointing - Faithfulness (Part 2)
A teaching to have the quality and character trait of faithfulness - to be a faithful disciple.
2 Kings 2:2
Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.”
But Elisha said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.
Elisha was faithful to God and that also meant being faithful to Elijah, his spiritual father (Elijah). This is where God called Elisha to receive anointing from. Impartation is the main way God releases anointing. Especially in this revival! Position yourself to receive!
There is a principle of staying planted that we can’t ignore, but must be faithful to God and His principles. Remain planted where God has called you to. God will eventually call you to be planted under an Elijah - for life! This is where your purpose will be fulfilled, where you will be equipped, where you will receive impartation of anointing.
Psalm 1:3
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
We see in the Word - Joshua receiving from Moses, Elisha from Elijah, and Timothy from Paul. They didn’t uproot themselves and go somewhere else! They stayed where God has called them and that’s where they prospered. Every example we have, they always stay! This is part of the new wine and key to see the anointing in your life and grow!
When you stay planted, there is a covering of protection on you! Demons see you and see the protection you have. They are unable to touch you. That same anointing rests upon you. The devil hates you with the more anointing you have!
Don’t be wishy washy and lukewarm, be a faithful disciple where you’re planted! Don’t play around with the covering! Bad things can happen to you, this is serious. The anointing will dry up — when you receive and leave. Pastors can come and receive for their own church but they need to stay connected from where they have received. They need equipping, they can’t just use it however! And you have to publicly acknowledge where you are receiving from, so others can receive. Dont hide it!
You must value the anointing you are receiving. The devil can try and trick you into thinking “you can leave and nothing will change, the anointing will still flow” this is not true, don’t be deceived by the enemy — you don’t know what you will lose if you leave where God has called you.
Matthew 10:40 (Jesus to the disciples)
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
Have to be faithful to His servants to be faithful to Him! He needs to test this, if you can’t be faithful to a spiritual mother or father how can you be faithful to God? Be faithful where you are planted! Be faithful to your Elijah! It’s how He tests your faithfulness.
There are stipulations when you receive the anointing, Samson could not cut his hair or the anointing would leave. You can’t do whatever you want with the anointing you receive. You can’t detach from your covering.
Judas is a New Testament example of someone losing the anointing
One of the 12 disciples was Judas. God could’ve chosen anyone and Judas was one of them. Judas was carrying anointing but did not maintain the anointing.
Luke 22:3
Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.
What went wrong with Judas? He was a disciple, Jesus chose him, he carried anointing. We’re chosen, we’re disciples, we carry anointing. This should put the fear of God in us.
We all have free will and we are in a war, God doesn’t chose robots. Good hearts can transform in the bad way. You can let the enemy transform you the wrong way. We have free will to go either way. We gotta be ready! Any day he can try harder than normal! Never think so highly of yourself that you can never be deceived.
This teaching can save your life and save you from losing the anointing and becoming a Judas.
John 12:3-9
3 Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, 5 “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.7 But Jesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial. 8 For the poor you have with you always, but Me you do not have always.”
Somewhere along the way, Judas opened up doors and he started stealing the disciples money, allowing the enemy to have access in his heart and mind. There was also pride.
He was full of so much pride to step over his leader (JESUS!!) and interject with correction to a disciple on the same level as him. Hate and jealousy filled his heart. He wasn’t serious about changing his behavior and this led to him betraying Jesus.
What makes Judas’s tend to betray, is jealousy. Jealousy among the fellow disciples. God lifts the humble, and humbles the proud. God will lift the pure and humble disciples and entrust them with more. Some disciples aren’t being lifting themselves because God is humbling them, so that’s where jealousy can enter in, they see others being lifted around them and allow jealousy to enter their heart.
Jesus brought in some disciples closer than others. James John and Peter were brought in closer than the others (mount of transfiguration, garden of Gethsemane). God will bring certain people close to servants of God to fulfill His work. Jonathan was brought close to David to fulfill Gods work.
It’s silly and foolish to ever be jealous of anyone in the Body of Christ and those that are closer to servants of God. This isn’t a club or a clique or a business, this is the work of God!
When one part of the body suffers, the rest suffer, and when one thrives, the rest thrive. Get this in your head! It’s not natural to think this way, so we need to renew our minds to this truth or we will fall into a temptation of being jealous. When someone is being lifted for Gods glory, it’s a good thing for you and for the Body and for God! It means His Kingdom is advancing and the enemy is being defeated. We need to be more spiritual and united as a body! We would be so much more powerful! There would be no more Judas’s.
God wants these certain close relationships, it protects the anointing you are receiving from and makes more people to receive Jesus. This is for Gods purposes. He needs it this way and wants it this way!!!!
John was leaning on Jesus’s chest. Judas saw this, and all the disciples saw this. What if you saw one person leaning on Jesus’s chest and you hadn’t done that? How would you feel? I hope not jealous! You should say hallelujah! He’s thriving, I’m thriving!!!!
How to not be like Judas:
Surrender everything to Jesus, daily surrender. Take this seriously. What part of you are you not giving to God? Everyday ask yourself — what have I not given to God?
When a door is open, this is a dangerous place when anything can happen for bad. The closer you are to the anointing, you gotta watch your step even more. If you’re close to an Elijah, the devil is looking how can I find an open door to drain the anointing? To attack this anointing?
Apostle Kathryn needs to be very careful to protect the anointing and walk in wisdom. She asks her spiritual father many questions, to make sure she is keeping every door shut. (Doors than can drain the anointing. The wrong people close). She needs to protect the anointing so that she is at 100% so God can do what He wants to do - not 90%. It can be drained through stress. Need to watch what she puts her eyes and ears to, anointing can be drained if you are stressed. God can still use you but if you’re not 100% that’s a serious deal.
When you are close to the anointing you need to watch your step and keep all doors shut, to value the anointing and for your love for Him!
Any door open can be really dangerous.
Watch your heart! Watch your heart!
The big ways Judas’s come about is not getting something that they want. Being bitter, impatient, jealous. They get angry at God and the people around them and they don’t want to change. That bitterness is such a big open door for the enemy to use them in any type of way. And then they can end up making up lies out of no where.
Matthew 26:59 says that many false witnesses came forward - the meaning of this is that many people came forward and spoke lies out of thin air about Jesus.
Be aware that this happens today! It’s hard to wrap your mind around but it happens. The devil hates Jesus and will try hard where there are doors open. Anything can happen when doors are open. Don’t think of yourself so highly that you couldn’t be used by the enemy. You can feel confident you won’t be used by the enemy when you’re confident in your surrender. If you’re not confident in your surrender, then have the fear of God! Take this seriously! This could be a possibility if I continue with my heart the way it is. Be real with yourself and with God.
The greatest thing you can do is be intimate with God every day! Stop listening to the condemning voice. God loves you no matter what you’ve done, even if you’ve repeated it again and again. He wants to help you change! He has great plans! You haven’t ruined it!
Peter denied Jesus 3 times and he was supposed to be the leader of the disciples! It’s bad what Peter did! It is also written in the Word, as his record! BUT Look how God redeemed him! He didn’t ruin Gods plan! Remember His love or you can end up being a Judas — if you don’t know His love!
You were free of the religious doctrine! Stop letting the condemning lies in your heart! Wake up to His love and forgiveness and mercy! The God of the prodigal son.
Don’t forget and disvalue the revelation you had of Gods love… that’s dangerous…. A dangerous place to be… You can never be a Judas if really love God and fear God.
Renew your mind to His love, be so consumed with His love! The devil won’t stand a chance to bring any other lie or temptation or any jealousy bitterness selfishness in your heart. Because you’re so consumed by His love and faithfulness!
Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!
Be intimate with Him, let Him in to see everything, don’t turn a blind eye to the funky things going on in your heart, renew your mind to the truth that the enemy is sending thoughts of jealousy many times. It’s not you being jealous but the enemy wants you to accept the lie and then become jealous.
You can feel a lie of jealousy for a moment but take the action and reject it and bless them and realize a lifting for someone in the body is also a lifting for you!
Maybe you don’t feel it inside but it is the action matters! It doesn’t matter if you feel it, just do it! Resist the devil and he must flee! He won’t be able to bring such strong jealous thoughts — if you keep doing this.
Walk in the fear of the Lord and walk spiritually - when you feel jealousy or bitterness, humble yourself! It’s not about you! Maybe you really feel selfish, but be spiritually disciplined and REJECT THEM!!! Invite God in! “Lord there is some dirt you see here, I need help, cleanse me, I don’t want to be this way Lord.” And declare out loud - I’m not bitter! I want Gods will! not my own will! (even if you don’t feel it!!!! It doesn’t matter)
This is the spiritual way!
Judas’s are carnal and they end up being deceived. They don’t realize they can overcome this attack. They don’t realize they aren’t this dirty + jealous person that God is disappointed with. And they just go and go and go and do more bad stuff. They don’t see this is an attack of the devil and that they can reject the devil, and that they don’t need to be this jealous bitter person.
Take these spiritual disciplines seriously when the devil comes and attacks this way!
This is prophetic, there is a scheme of the devil to attack the ministries where Gods power is moving, to try and bring Judas’s. So that hopefully the world wouldn’t come to receive. To make people think it’s witchcraft because he’s terrified of this revival wave. His time is up and he knows it! This is a scheme happening, but we have victory!
The victory is OURS!
Be aware, this is a prophetic warning.
People will call what’s good evil and what’s evil good.
We are going higher than ever and the devil is getting more angry! We must be wise, we must be spiritual, we gotta catch the wave!
God will protect us as we walk in wisdom and in the truth, with our spiritual eyes wide open, serious about serving Him and surrendered -so we are never deceived by the enemy!
Take this word seriously. Take it to heart as a warning from God. It’s very important to make covenants with God. “Lord, I never want to betray you or speak against you. I never want to be out of your will. I never want to let evil take my heart.”
This is powerful and will help you to remember in the day of temptation of the enemy, that covenant you made is still there! It will help you to remember and bring you into the light.
Ending declarations/prayers:
Take a moment with God and remember Judas and how hurtful it was to God. Talk with him.
“I never want to speak against your anointing or your servants. I want to be slow to speak. I never want to be deceived. I want to see in the spiritual realm”
Repent for the doors you left open
Maybe you’ve felt that jealousy or bitterness of not getting what you’ve wanted. Talk to God about it. Be open about it and surrender it.
Apostle Kathryn’s Declarations
“May the Love of God come upon you now. May nothing keep you from remembering and knowing His love and His grace and forgiveness. That you are worthy! That you have such a great calling no matter what you’ve done.
I speak protection over you all now. Specifically from attacks of the devil to try and put jealousy bitterness and offense in your heart.
I declare wisdom to be in you to know this is not you, it is an attack from the enemy. And strength in the spirit that you would be strong in the spirit to take these spiritual actions to get that out of your heart.
I see God revealing there are some relationships that are dangerous for you. There are some relationships you might have with a Judas, someone who is a bad influence, they could even be a Christian. Who’s calling good evil. God wants you to surrender this to Him, close the door. So you won’t be deceived.
I declare nothing to take you out of Gods will. I declare you will be strong in the spirit, and a faithful disciple!”
