It's important to realize that when it comes to thoughts & feelings, the devil many times influences them & you actually have control over your thoughts & feelings. Meaning, if there is a thought & feeling there that you don't like to be there, you don't have to let it stay there. The Bible says submit to God, resist the devil, and he MUST flee. This is a spiritual principle. God's spiritual principles are laws, they MUST happen. There's so many different principles & laws like what you sow, you will reap. That's a principle, it WILL HAPPEN. This principle of resisting the devil & He must flee, this MUST happen because it's a principle in the kingdom of God. You don't have to worry about it not working. It WILL work. Meaning, your authority in Christ will work. The devil must flee when you resist him.

So when you are seeing certain thoughts, prideful thoughts, this is a moment to renew your mind and realize, "I don't want that there. That means it's not me. That means this is sent from the enemy. That means, I have power over this. The Bible says, submit to God, so I'm gonna submit to God's truth. He doesn't want me to have this thought, this emotion. He doesn't want me to have this prideful thought so I'm gonna submit to what God wants. And, I'm gonna take the action. I'm gonna walk in my authority like God instructs me and I'm gonna resist the devil by taking the thought captive to Christ & using my authority, using my words". Because our words carry power & that's one of the big ways we execute our authority. I'm gonna use my words and say "I reject this prideful thought". And whatever kind of thought or feeling that it is, that you don't want there that you recognize by being spiritual, renewing your mind, it's come from the devil. SO REJECT IT. And then, be at peace first of all. Realize that God is proud of you. Instead of condemning yourself that you had a bad thought, be spiritual & realize the reality, that the devil planted this but you did what God wanted you to. You took action, you rejected it, and God is proud of you for that. And the fact that you rejected it means that that isn't you. That that thought isn't you. That feeling isn't you. So God for sure is not disappointed by the feeling you felt or the thought you had. He's proud of you for being victorious in this spiritual attack & doing what He has commanded you to do.
